The knuckleball is a baseball pitch that has little or no spin, inflicting it to flutter erratically on its method to the plate. This makes it very troublesome for batters to hit, as they can’t predict the place the ball will go.
Knuckleballs are thrown with a free grip, and the pitcher doesn’t impart any spin on the ball. The ball is launched with the knuckles of the index and center fingers, and the shortage of spin causes the ball to wobble and flutter because it travels by means of the air.
